General Introduction

Apis Ltd. is one of the most significant companies of the Hungarian paper, office supplies and stationery market. It has been operating under its present organisational and legal form and with its new name since 1st June 2010 after the activities of the former Papír-Ász Kft. were completed with the business lines acquired from ÁBP Ápisz-BudaPiért Zrt. This resulted in the creation of a complex company, providing a full range of services in all the distribution channels, which is unique on the Hungarian market.
We believe that this company, which operates with a modern mindset, will be able to satisfy all the customer demands and will remain to be a significant player on the Hungarian market of paper products, office supplies and stationery in the long run. This is what all the employees of our company regard as their first and foremost goal. OUR BUSINESS UNITS

B2B sales of copy paper, stationery and office supply
Within this activity, we perform the direct and all-round supply of offices.
Our customers include businesses listed on the Hungarian Top 500 companies just like small enterprises with a handful of employees. In fact company supply activity today includes all the products and services that an office needs for its daily operations.
Our field sales team of 25 colleagues, including Budapest sales representatives and county representatives, is at our customers’ service in the whole area of the country.

Wholesale of copy paper, stationery and office supplies
Within this activity, we serve those retailers who purchase our products for the purpose of re-selling them. This group of customers includes small and medium sized company supply firms, stationery stores and hypermarket chains.
Our 10-member team of sales representatives are at the service of our wholesale partners in the entire area of the country.

Production
Our company’s production activity is concentrated on our Szolnok site. Within the frameworks of our production activity, we produce various processed paper products, cash machine paper rolls, printed and unprinted folders, different thermo and banking technology rolls, office management forms and fax rolls using modern technology.
In our folder production plant, we perform the production of printed and unprinted folders, invoice letters, cheques, letterhead stationery, strictly accounted forms for companies owned by Hungarian and foreign entities. Our paper roll production plant produces cash machine paper rolls, various thermo and banking technology rolls and fax rolls for companies owned by Hungarian and foreign entities. The number of employees working in production is 50.

B2B sales and wholesale of office and IT equipment
Within the frameworks of this new business line, we perform the distribution and operation of photocopiers and printers directly for the contracted offices or through our retailer partners for the offices contracted to them.

Wholesale of infocommunication products
Our business line deals with the wholesale trade of telecommunications systems and structured network devices and elements. Our product line comprises the whole range of the professional infocommunications market, including the distribution of VoIP systems, sub-centres, IVR and CTI solutions, telephone devices, answering machines, fax machines, multifunctional devices, active/passive network elements and cabling systems.

Brand representation
Our company pays special attention to the brands we distribute under exclusive rights. These are the following at the moment: a-series, BIC, Bi-Office, Blasetti, Carioca, Falcon, Granit, Herma, HSM, Laser Copy, Notte, Peach, SilverBall, Tico and Zebra.

Export
This activity means for us the export of products produced by our company and those distributed under exclusive rights to the neighbouring countries.

LOGISTICS
Our central office and warehouse are situated in Budapest. We can satisfy our customers’ demands in a high-standard and timely manner thanks to the nearly HUF 400 million worth of stock held in our central warehouse of 4,800 square metres. In order to ensure the high quality of our activities, our company has the necessary technical and technological background, where one of the highlights is the voice-operated product picking system. We undertake to deliver our orders and transport the goods fast and reliably to the whole area of the country.

INFORMATICS
Our company utilises the most modern IT devices and solutions to perform its every activities. Our reliable operation is ensured by the Axapta company management system, distributed by Microsoft.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Apis Kft. holds the MSZ EN ISO 9001:2005 and MSZ EN 14001:2005 certifications. The quality assurance systems cover both the trade and production activities.

ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE OPERATION
Our company does not only pay special attention to environmental awareness by the distribution of environmentally friendly products in its product range but also regards environmentally aware thinking and practices especially important during its everyday operations.

SALES REVENUE
Our budgeted turnover for 2010 is around EUR 25 million.
